The people choose Sheree

HER passion for the country won Biggenden's Sheree Beddows the title of People's Choice Rural Ambassador at this year's Brisbane Ekka.

Sashed as Rural Ambassador for the Burnett Sub-chamber last month, Ms Beddows competed for the state title last week.

People's Choice Rural Ambassador was chosen from and by the state finalists, Rural Ambassador Estelle Drynan said.

Ms Beddows won, based on number of votes, for her friendly presentation, she said.

The popular winner said meeting other rural ambassadors at the annual city meets country agricultural show had proved an inspiration.

Ms Beddows explained there was such a "vast variety" in how they ran their shows and a big push to get the younger generation involved.
