Petero visits region to help stamp out bullying and racism
PETERO Civoniceva is coming to the South Burnett to help combat bullying and racism.
The former Broncos player will visit schools and sporting grounds around the region to spread his message to South Burnett children.
Civoniceva will be the guest of the South Burnett Junior Rugby League Club.
Treasurer Kylie Vale said children were excited to meet him.
"The kids are looking forward to getting their photos taken and there's also a lot teachers who are excited as well," she said.
Ms Vale said she hoped Civoniceva's message would be heard.
"The message is to help stop bullying in the region that's quite common in our schools," she said.
"My kids have experienced bullying and they love that Civoniceva is quite big and he'll tower over them all so they hope his message will get through to the kids.
"If he stops just one kid from bullying then it'll be fantastic."
Civoniceva will be in the South Burnett for three days from tomorrow.
