PHOTOS: Burnett women charged in drug raids
TWO South Burnett women have been charged after the seizure of more than $50,000 worth of marijuana.
Police from the Burnett Tactical Action Team executed a number of search warrants across Murgon, Wondai, and Proston on Wednesday and Thursday, March 27 and 28.
A 24-year-old Wooroonden woman will appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on May 14 charged with producing dangerous drugs and possessing dangerous drugs.
A 30-year-old Wooroonden woman will appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on April 23 charged with possessing dangerous drugs.
"Detectives attached to the South Burnett remain committed to stopping illegal drugs entering rural communities and any assistance from the public is greatly appreciated," Detective Inspector Mat Kelly said.
Investigators located and seized numerous marijuana plants from a number of locations during the raids.
