GOLD Coast sweets chef Liz Clarke loves bringing her treats to Toowoomba including what must be the world's biggest individiual lamingtones.

"I've been making the giant lamingtons for about eight years now and we always come up to Toowoomba for the Carnival of Flowers and so we thought we'd make the drive up today."

Mrs Clarke's Reid St Kitchen stall was one of many food outlets at the Toowoomba Street Food Festival held adjacent to the Westbrook Tavern yesterday.

Her giant lamingtons - in both passionfruit white chocolate and dark chocolate varieties - proved quite the treat for the large crowd which attended the festival.

Her "Death by Chocolate" slice and profito rolls were also well received.

The festival had a range of food and drink vendors who provided the hungry and thirsty crowd with plenty of options including German sausages, churros, waffles, ChocoWhip, burgers and taco bowls and the very well patronised Brazilian barbecue.

The warm conditions also provided the Westbrook Tavern with a steady line of customers.
