Police officer's private vehicle targeted

A POLICE officer's personal vehicle was targeted on the grounds of the Blackbutt Police Station last week.

Officers are still searching for the offender who allegedly used a knife or something similar to slash one of the vehicle's tyres on Sunday, July 21, between 5pm and 8pm.

Entry to the Blackbutt Police Station grounds by anyone other than a police officer is strictly prohibited, and anyone found to be on police station grounds will be charged accordingly.

Police are urging anyone in the area who may have seen the incident happen to provide information.

In a separate incident on Sunday July, 14, a 22-year-old Eidsvold woman was issued with a court notice for allegedly driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

The woman was intercepted about 1.30pm as officers conducted patrols on Hart St.

The woman will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on Friday, August 26.

Later in the week, about 7.20pm on Friday, July, 19, Blackbutt police responded to a two-vehicle accident on the D'Aguilar Highway at the turn-off to Benarkin.

There were no injuries, however one vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

Investigations are still continuing as police review dash-cam footage of the accident.
