Rain welcome as Baconfest continues

KINGAROY'S inaugural Baconfest will continue today with the welcome rain proving to be no obstacle to the festival.

The day's festivities kicked-off at 7.30am with the long table breakfast which was moved to the Kingaroy Town Hall on account of the wet weather.

The Baconfest food market will open at 10am and at 11am festival goers will challenge themselves at the Bacon Olympics.

Be sure to pick up some tips from Grant Coleman when he gives his masterclass in bacon at 11am and he will be sharing his tips for mastering pork ribs at 12.15pm.

The Sunpork smoke off will be happening all day with the winners to be announced at 4pm.

Festival goers will be entertained throughout the day as the first Kingaroy Baconfest comes to a close in style.
