As part of the South Burnett Times People's Choice Awards, we asked you who you thought the most outstanding employees in the region were.

And you answered.

More than 400 votes were counted and here we showcase the South Burnett's top 10 most outstanding employees.

They share their secrets on what makes a good employee, their future goals and advice for other employees.

1. What makes a good employee?

The ability to work with the team and share the same goals as the company is what makes a good employee I think.

2. Future goals?

Haven't put as much thought into future goals as I should have to be honest.

3. What do you like about the South Burnett?

No matter where you look there seems to be a familiar face.

4. Advice for other employees?

A little bit of elbow grease never hurt anyone.

Works as part of the team, is considerate towards their coworkers, is always on time, never brings their issues to work and loves what they do.

2. Future goals?

OMG, all I'll say to this one is watch this space SB, we're on to it and it's huge!

3. What do you like about the South Burnett?

The South Burnett is rich in opportunity for those that choose to chase it.

4. Advice for other employees?

Every single person that walks through the doors to the business where you work is paying your wages.

1. What makes a good employee?

Always arrive to their workplace early, being enthusiastic, bubbly, friendly and going above and beyond for our customers, as customers are the most important thing to our business.

2. Future goals?

Keeping our regulars happy and expanding the business.

3. What do you like about the South Burnett?

I like the South Burnett because it's such a small community with a big heart and perfectly located from Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

4. Advice for other employees?

Being committed, punctual, and always going above and beyond for the employer and customers.

You have to have good work ethics and care about your job. Love the customers.

2. Future goals?

I am dropping back my hours and hope to retire in a few years.

3. What do you like about the South Burnett?

I've lived here all my life. It's home

It's all about the team and customers come first.

Small community feel and the help and support that is always available.

1. What makes a good employee?

Someone who is honest, willing to work hard, willing to learn, punctual, well presented.

2. Future goals?

Playing soccer has always been a passion. I would like eventually to travel overseas.

3. What do you like about the South Burnett?

The sporting clubs are amazing and have allowed me to carry out my love of playing soccer and meet new people.

4. Advice for other employees?

Be on time. Always wear a smile. No job is beneath you. Be considerate of both customers and other staff members.

Passionate about your job, you have got to love coming to work.

2. Future goals?

Just to keep going and do the best in my job I have now.

What do you like about the South Burnett?

It's a beautiful place. I was born here.

Advice for other employees?

Customers are the most important thing. If you don't have a good relationship with your customers, you wont succeed.
