A MAN has been airlifted by CareFlight after a single vehicle rollover on the Burnett Hwy this morning.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue airlifted a 42-year-old man from the scene seven kilometres south of Ban Ban Springs.

The man was travelling in the passenger seat of a vehicle which rolled several times down an embankment from the Southbound lane of the highway, resulting in possible spinal injuries.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called to assist the patient shortly after midday.

The driver of the vehicle received only minor injuries as a result of the accident and did not require transportation.

The cause of the accident is unknown.
