Roys and Superstars Aussie rules programs return to Kingaroy
SOUTH Burnett kids have the chance to work on their Aussie rules skills in Kingaroy at the South Burnett Saints' Friday night program which has returned for 2019.
The Roys and Superstars programs cater for boys and girls from five to eight years of age who are looking to improve their kicking and handball skills and build on what they learnt at Auskick.
The first night led by South Burnett Saints players was held on May 10, and players are encouraged to get involved with the Aussie rules fun from 6-8pm on Fridays at Lyle Vidler Oval until June 28.
While the South Burnett club does not have competitive opportunities for 12-16-year-old players, Saints president Andrew Foley encouraged all interested players to contact the Dalby Swans for information about its junior program.
The junior Aussie rules action will continue in Kingaroy on Sunday when Darling Downs take on Wide Bay in an U12 representative schools practice game at Lyle Vidler Oval from 11am.
