AUSSIE RULES: The South Burnett Saints women's team will take the field for the first time this season on Saturday.

The Saints will face the South Toowoomba Bombers at Toowoomba's Heritage Oval at 12.30pm for round one.

The South Burnett side will be looking to better their fourth-place performance from last season, when they recorded two wins and eight losses.

The AFL Darling Downs women's competition will be contested by four teams this season, and the Toowoomba Tigers and University Cougars will also do battle on Saturday.

Meanwhile in the AFL Darling Downs Allied Pickfords Cup, the South Burnett Saints men's side will play host to the Chinchilla Suns.

The game at Lyle Vidler Oval will start at 2.30pm on Saturday, and the home side will be looking to claim a win.

Four rounds into the 2019 season, the Saints are sitting on the bottom of the ladder in the nine-team competition, yet to score a win.

The Suns are sitting in seventh place with one win.
