Confirmed: Roos handed crucial FIFA card boost
THE Socceroos have now officially received a boost, with FFA confirming nine players walking a suspension tight rope have been cleared.
Australia are already without Mathew Leckie and Mark Milligan for the first leg in San Pedro Sula, but had a further nine players are walking a tightrope, carrying yellow cards that date back almost as far as a year ago over an arduous and extensive AFC group phase and Syria play-off.
Honduras' players were confirmed on Sunday to no longer be at risk of a ban had they picked up a yellow card.

It had initially been feared that the Socceroos already on yellow cards - Tom Rogic, Mile Jedinak, Tomi Juric, Massimo Luongo, Josh Risdon, Ryan McGowan, Jackson Irvine and Milos Degenek - would be at risk of suspension for the second leg in Sydney had they been cautioned in the first game.
However FFA confirmed that was no longer the case.
