Spooky fun night dancing at the disco
GRAB your Halloween costume and get ready to boogie at the blue light discos tonight.
Children from Prep to 14-year-olds are invited to join in the fun at the Kingaroy Town Hall from 6-8.30pm on Friday, October 2.
Nanango students will have their own Halloween-themed fun at the blue light hall on George St, Nanango, from 6-8pm tonight.
Kingaroy Constable Glenn Hytch said the night would be a chance for the students to dress up, dance around, play games and sing along, for only $5 entry.
"It's a safe place for kids to socialise in a safe environment that's supervised, and to have some fun,” he said.
The hall will be decked out with Halloween decorations, there will be a DJ for the night, and there will also be lucky door prizes drawn during the evening.
The discos often attract a couple of hundred of students, making it a fun, safe night for everyone.
"It gives parents peace of mind they've got somewhere the kids can go to socialise away from alcohol and drugs,” Const Hytch said.
