Stabbing shuts down road as police launch probe
A MAN is fighting for life and a busy main road has been shut after a stabbing in inner-city Brisbane this morning.
The top of Milton Rd near Caxton St is currently blocked off as police investigate what sparked a stabbing in the middle of the road at 4am this morning.
Early reports suggest two men in their early 30s had been crossing Milton Rd when a car containing a man and woman pulled out of a nearby McDonalds.
For unknown reasons a physical altercation occurred and one of the pedestrians was stabbed.
"The driver's got out of the vehicle - there was a female in the vehicle as well - a physical altercation took place which has resulted in quite serious injuries to the victim," Inspector Daniel Bragg told Channel 9.
