Taste the Trail to raise profile of South Burnett region
FOR South Burnett chef Jason Ford, the new Taste the Trail event presents an opportunity to showcase the best the region has to offer.
Visitors from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast have joined South Burnett residents to snag tickets for Saturday's tasty ride along the rail trail.
Up to 50 riders will make their way from Kingaroy at 8am, stopping to taste the region's specialities, including a South Burnett tasting plate at Wooroolin, before finishing with lunch in Wondai.
"I'm looking forward to the food, meeting the people on the ride and finding out what their impressions are of the region after they have had a chance to ride through it,” Mr Ford said.
It will also be a chance to spread the word about the South Burnett Rail Trail and produce from the region.
"We hope when they leave they talk to their friends about it and post photos on their social media which will get it out to a broader audience,” Mr Ford said.
