This U.G.L.Y bartender needs your help to raise some money

ROSEMARY Devlin-Brand has been in remission for 12years but wants to give back to a foundation that supported her.

Mrs Devlin-Brand was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2005.

Having beaten the disease, she is hosting a fundraiser at the Club Hotel in Kingaroy to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.

The fundraiser will be part of the U.G.L.Y (Understanding, Generous, Likeable, You) Bartender of the Year awards.

"I like doing things for the Leukaemia Foundation and paying them back," she said.

"They've given me 12 more years of life."

Her goal is to raise $5000 for the foundation.

The money will go towards helping rural families get accommodation in Brisbane when they need to stay in hospital.

Tickets are $25 and include a glass of wine or beer with nibbles provided and the chance to win a lucky door prize.

Raffles, fun and games, live entertainment and awards for best-dressed male and female will be on offer.

It will run from 1-5pm on August 19.
