Trio of charges in one day on Maidenwell roads
TWO motorists were sprung by roadside breath tests in Maidenwell on Friday, April 12, while another refused to provide a test.
The Kingaroy Road Policing Unit pulled over the first offender at 12.30am on Kingaroy Cooyar Rd.
The driver, who returned a positive roadside breath test, was transported to Nanango Police Station for further testing.
Later, a 34-year-old Nanango man refused to provide police a breath test, and as a result was arrested, charged and transported to the Kingaroy Watchhouse.
He was bailed and will appear in the Nanango Magistrates Court on Friday, May 17 to answer the charge of failing to provide a specimen of breath or blood.
At 11.35pm police from Nanango stopped a Holden ute on Maidenwell Bunya Mountains Rd.
The driver returned a positive roadside breath test and was taken to Nanango Police Station for further testing.
As a result of testing, the 70-year-old Burpengary man was issued with a notice to appear before the Nanango Magistrates Court on Monday, April 29 to answer the charge of mid-range drink-driving.
