Two in hospital after D'Aguilar Hwy crash

TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the D'Aguilar Highway.

The crash, on Franks Lane and D'Aguilar Highway, Wamuran, took place just before 6.30am today.

Two vehicles were involved and paramedics assessed three patients on scene.

Two of the patients were taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition with neck pain.

This stretch of highway, between Caboolture and Kingaroy, was the subject of recent calls for "urgent upgrades", with RACQ placing it at a medium-high to high crash risk.

RACQ head of public policy Rebecca Michael said 14 deaths and hundreds of injuries had occurred on this highway between 2012 and 2016.
