NANANGO Police have thanked the "stupidity” of the occupants of a vehicle for assisting in their investigations and leading to a man being charged.

On Friday August 24, concerned residents in Gipps Street, Nanango called police and expressed concerns about a vehicle doing 'burnouts' in the centre median strip.

Police will allege the driver of the vehicle showed total disregard for road rules and also for other vehicles and property surrounding where the offence occurred.

Police investigations took place and thanks to the decision of the vehicle occupants filming their actions and placing on social media, an 18-year-old Tarong man will face court after being charged.

Thanks go to the concerned persons who shared the media with others to enabled police to inspect and take further action.

The man will face Nanango Magistrates Court on September 20.
