Kingaroy businesses to finally meet with NBN rep

A REPRESENTATIVE for the National Broadband Network is headed to Kingaroy to 'listen to the people'.

NBN local manager for Southern Queensland Damon Cavalchini will be at the upcoming Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry meeting to hear from those who have had challenges.

"Basically we want the community to know the right information is getting out there," he said.

"You do that by going out and listening to them."

This is good news for the Kingaroy business community who have been disillusioned with the NBN, some claiming the NBN was proving costly to their business and home life.

Mr Cavalchini's Kingaroy visit will be an opportunity for residents to share their concerns.

"I am more than happy to discuss with them and see what we can do," he said.

"At the end of the day the customer doesn't care where the fault lies. They just want it fixed."

Mr Cavalchini will be available to discuss the needs of local businesses at the upcoming chamber meeting.

The KCCI meet and greet will be held at Mulanah Gardens at 736 Deep Creek Rd, Benair on Tuesday, August 6 from 5.30pm.
