WATCH: Farmer makes passionate plea to save dairy industry

A QUEENSLAND dairy farmer has made a passionate plea for government intervention to save the industry.

In a Facebook video which has been shared 1700 times, North Burnett farmer Robbie Radel wants the government to introduce legislation to keep dairy farmers afloat.

"I believe we need government to step up and get some kind of legislation in that works out a fair price for everybody," Mr Radel said.

"We're not looking to get rich."

Mr Radel said he also supported the introduction of a milk levy in the viral video.

Dairy farmers will take the fight to Brisbane tomorrow.

Mr Radel has organised a protest from noon outside Parliament House.
