1. Watch car rally action

All weekend

PROSTON Car Rally Club will be running its Khanacross and Burnouts competition this weekend.

The event will on from 10.30am on Saturday and throughout Sunday.

Spectator entry is free, and there will be free camping and hot showers at the site on 757 Proston-Boondooma Rd.

There will be a canteen open from Friday night, and a bar operating on Saturday night. Call 0458 689 446.

2. Find a bargain

EXPLORE the stalls at the Nanango Country markets to find a bargain.

There will be a variety of fresh produce, handicrafts and plants stalls on offer.

The markets will run at the Nanango Showgrounds from 6am to noon.

3. Pray for rain

The weekend's rain is a welcome change for many farmers in rural regions.

JOIN others in prayer for rain this weekend as the South Burnett continues to remain in drought conditions.

All residents are welcome to join a group who will be gathering together at the Wondai Town Hall at 3pm on Saturday.

4. Country races

DON your classic black and white racewear and head along for a great day out at the Nanango Races.

Gates will open at 10am for the family-friendly event, and the six-race meet will start at 12.50pm.

5. Old-time dance

GRAB your dancing partner and groove along to the music supplied by the band Top Tunes.

The dance will be held at the Inverlaw Hall on Burrandowan Rd from 8pm on Saturday.

There will be a supper and lucky door draw on the night.

Entry will cost $10 for adults and $5 for high school students.
