What not to do when caught in Bruce Hwy traffic jam

HERE'S an important tip to motorists caught in traffic on the Bruce Highway, just because your car is a four-wheel drive doesn't mean you can go off-road.

Mike Clayton of Clayton's Towing said a dozen cars, mostly four-wheel drives, had to be towed out of forests after a crash near Bells Reach late yesterday caused extensive traffic jams.

"Yesterday we were pretty busy pulling people out of forestry," he said.

And this happened almost every time there was an accident blocking the national highway.

"Last night at 8pm we were still pulling people out of forestry.

"They will try anything to avoid the traffic."
