WHATS ON: Top five things to do this weekend
FROM family fun days to a South Burnett fishing competition, take advantage of the warmer weather and head to these top events this weekend.
1. Kingaroy Swim Centre Family Fun Day
Celebrate the new swim season on Saturday at the Kingaroy pool.
The fun day will start at 9am and run until late, offering free entry for all guests and free games throughout the day.
There will be an additional cost for food, the inflatable obstacle course and the movie night.
2. BP Dam Inland Fishing Classic
Competitors will cast their lines from Friday until Sunday at the popular annual fishing competition.
Held at the Bjelke-Petersen Dam, entry fee is $20 for adults and $5 for juniors.
3. Cherbourg Fight Night
Boxers from all over Queensland will travel to compete in this boxing tournament.
Held at the Cherbourg Sports Complex, the first fight will start at 2pm.
It is an alcohol-free event, and food will be available for purchase.
4. Moffatdale Boutique Markets
This Sunday, Spring Fest will feature stalls, music and food as part of the quarterly market.
Held at the Yallakool Caravan Park on BP Dam, the event will run from 8am until 2pm.
5. Maidenwell Post Rip Weekend
Check out the chainsaw action at the Maidenwell Sports Ground as participants compete in events on Saturday and Sunday from 9am onwards.
Whip cracking, chainsaw sculpting and a barbecue smoking cooking demonstration are some of the events on the program.
