Why Pic's Peanut Butter representatives were in the region
WHEN tourists visit Pic's Peanut Butter factory in New Zealand, tour guides tell them all about the Kingaroy peanuts they use in their products.
Barney, who helps run the tours that are held four times a day, was in Kingaroy last week to see where the peanuts come from first-hand.
Pic's Peanut Butter global marketing manager Nikki Neate said it was an important visit.
"Part of our tour is all about our very special Australian peanuts, and so what better way to learn more about them than visiting the home of PCA,” Ms Neate said.
"As peanut butter makers, we are very much a hands-on team, and so for Barney and Louis to meet the Peanut Company of Australia, some of the farmers at harvest time and hang out in Kingaroy will just add another layer of information to when Barney tells our story about how we make peanut butter using the best peanuts in the world.”
