Peter Van Breeman from North Burnett Regional Council has been a witness to the crow's antics.

Mr Van Breeman said the crow would mainly pick up the lids once the wind had knocked the vases over, however he would also use his beak to get them.

"He must also like colourful things as he is also taking the plastic flowers,” he said.

Mr Van Breeman said all the stolen lids were probably sitting in the crow's nest as he gets it ready for spring.

"A lot of people have said that they have been stolen but it's the crow,” he said.

Mr Van Breeman said that it was a regular thing that crows do as he has a crow at his house that does a similar thing.
