Two women injured as car smashes into tree
UPDATE: TWO women have been taken to hospital after a single vehicle crash in Noosaville.
One of the women was trapped in the car after the crash with a leg fracture, and also suffered possible neck injuries.
The second passenger sustained a hand injury and seat belt injuries.
One resident who lives near the roundabout said he heard a bang at the moment of impact, followed by screaming coming from the scene.
"She was screaming for a few minutes," the resident said.
Paramedics took both women to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.

BREAKING: PARAMEDICS have rushed to the aid of a woman injured when her car crashed into a tree.
The woman is still in the vehicle, and early reports suggest she was trapped after the smash near the roundabout joining Mary St and Weyba Rd.
Paramedics are assessing the woman.
